HS Biology – Science Shepherd Biology (Fall Hour 1)(1 Credit) – 2 Semester Course – 24 Weeks
***This is a 2-hour Course. We will meet from 9am-11am***

High school biology is a fast paced college-prep course designed to introduce students to the
fundamental principles and concepts of biology. The course explores the diverse world of living
organisms, their structures, functions, and interactions within ecosystems through a Biblical
worldview. High School biology seeks to lay the groundwork in exploring the compatibility of
science and faith by evaluating biological principles through a Christian framework. It provides a
solid foundation in biological sciences and fosters an understanding of the scientific method and
its application to biological inquiry through:
- Online Lectures
- Reading
- Online Quizzes (not graded)
- Labs
- Study Guides
- Tests
Time Committemnt:
High School Biology is a fast paced full 36 week Biology course condensed into 24 weeks.
Students can expect to spend 6-8 hours a week outside of class time.
