Apologia General Science (7th-8th Grade) Semester 2 of 2 (2 semesters- 1 credit)
Required** You must have finished Part 1 at COACH Rockwall in the Fall Semester to sign-up for this class.
Designed to be a student’s first systematic introduction to the sciences, Apologia’s Exploring Creation with General Science explores broad topics such as the scientific method, designing experiments, simple machines, geology, archaeology, biology, and more, with a large focus on Earth Science (astronomy, meteorology, oceanography, earth study, geology, paleontology, and environmental science). Hands-on experiments are included throughout, giving students practical experience as they discover the principles behind science and learn how to record and report data.
Students will learn to see God’s hand in all of life as they learn about the world He made; they will also read testimonies from modern-day scientists who interpret data through a Christian worldview.
Homework will be required.
