Sew What!  Sewing and Quilting Arts (6th-12th Grade)  (1/2 Credit) – 1 Semester Course, 12 Weeks

Sewing is truly a fun and useful craft. In this class you will be introduced to basic sewing and quilting terminology, tools, and techniques. It will be part sewing projects and part quilting projects. No experience is necessary to start this class and at the end, you will have the confidence to tackle basic projects on your own.

Homework:  No homework is expected.

Requirements: 

• Each student will need a sewing machine (if you do not already have access to one, I will have a recommendation list of machines starting as low as in the $200 range). 
• Sewing machine will be brought to class every week.
• New regular and small sized pair of scissors
• 2-3 bobbins that fit your machine
• You will be responsible for the fabric and notions for each project.

Cost covers the full semester
($50/per semester)
