CORE: HOMEWORK
This college‐preparatory, laboratory‐based physics course offers the student who has completed algebra 1 and an understanding of the three basic trigonometric functions and how they are defined on a right triangle…sine, cosine, and tangent (think soh-coh-toa). It will be mandatory for students to read assigned chapters, do assigned work and watch any assigned videos BEFORE class in order to be prepared for class. Students should spend at least an hour a day in the material either reading, working problems, or studding laws and formulas. The lecture section will be a review of what they have read the previous week and an in-depth explanation of how to solve problems that relate to our world. Be prepared to take lots of notes in class and bring your questions!!
We will be using Berean Builders Discovering Design with Physics as the spine text, however, the order may be moved around to support the schedule and/or problems will be exchanged/added as needed.
Mr. Nelson will create and grade all quizzes and tests. Text book is provided. Students will need a notebook for note taking and to work though problems.
Supply fee $75 first semester (book and videos are included), $50 second semester
