Set-up to be a year-long class, Texas History will utilize “The Spirit of Texas” to dive into Texas state symbols, regions, Native Americans in Texas, government, conquest and more. Through weekly lessons and assigned reading we’ll build our knowledge and use accompanying worksheets and additional literature to round out our curriculum.
Homework: Plan on approximately 30 minutes a week of homework – mostly reading but there will be the review and comprehension work students will be encouraged to complete outside of class.
PARENTS SHOULD PURCHASE this book, “The Spirit of Texas, Daily Reader”. Siblings may share if desired, but one per household (not between friends) is recommended for ease.
Additional materials required: Pencils, pencil sharpener; highlighter; colored pencils; glue stick; scissors
