It is not mandatory. If you would like to join in the fun, have your child make or bring cards for as many children who are participating. Cards will just be signed and not addressed to anyone in particular. They also will need to make a valentine box like the one on the Facebook post – it is made from a tissue box. The boxes will get stacked out of the way near the stairs for your child to add Valentine cards to at lunch.
