American Government + Civics (9th-12th Grade) (1/2 Credit) – 1 Semester Course, 12 Weeks
The goal of this class is to inspire Patriotism by gaining a deeper understanding and appreciation of the Great American Experiment. We will look into and discuss important documents such as the Declaration of Independence, Bill of Rights, and the Constitution. We’ll review the branches of government and how they were designed to create a system of checks and balances. Other topics we’ll explore include our free market economy, America’s tax system, and most importantly our roles and contributions as citizens.
We will be using resources from PragerU, TurningPoint Academy, American Heritage Education Foundation. We’ll watch short informative videos, have group discussions, and work together on small fun activities and projects.
