Using three books from the “I Survived” series by Lauren Tarshis, we will have class discussion about the historical events and then complete an engaging project each week that goes with the reading.

1) I Survived the Grizzly Attacks of 1967

2) I Survived the Japanese Tsunami 2011

3) I Survived the Joplin Tornado 2011

Homework:  Weekly reading assignments (about 6 chapters per week), as well as challenge opportunities to win something from the prize box.

Required Supplies:  Each student must supply their own copy of the three listed books.

Cost covers the full semester
