Mosaic Art (8th-12th Grade)

Mosaic Art (8th-12th Grade) (1/2 Credit) – 1 Semester Course, 12 Weeks

This beginner level class is ideal for curious crafters that would like to learn how to create art with glass. We will focus on developing the skills needed to complete mosaic artwork. Some of the skills that will be practiced include safety measures for working with glass, filling/grinding glass edges, creating mosaic designs, and working with grout. This class is best suited for students that are mature and eager to dive in and work with glass and tools. All new projects from Fall semester.

Homework:  Minimal to no homework is expected

Students to purchase:

• Safety glasses that fit well and do not slide off when looking down
• 1 Bottle of Weldbond glue or another clear drying glue that says for glass and wood use
• Apron
• Pencils
• 1 Sketchbook

Cost covers the full semester
($65/per semester)
