HS Spanish 1 (9th-12th) (Part 1) (Fall)

This is a two-semester class. 1 HS credit (½ credit per semester) to meet foreign language requirements for high school graduation.

From the get go, students will discover that they already know many words in Spanish that they didn’t know about. We will build up on that and learn to understand verb tenses, pronouns, sentence formation and more through reading, writing, listening, and speaking.

Anyone wanting to learn Spanish who is able and willing to contribute positively to the class and complete their assignments on time, is highly encouraged to take this class regardless of age or school grade.

We will cover one chapter per week and there will be weekly homework that will be graded.

We will use the book “Madrigal’s Magic Key to Spanish: A creative and Proven Approach” by Margarita Madrigal

Supplies needed:
Pen, pencil, eraser
Binder
A pack of loose leaf paper (for class notes and assignments)
