3rd-6th GRADE READING: American Girl Historical Fiction (Fall)
American Girl History and Arts class will be a class to remember for years to come in your child’s homeschool career. This fun class begins with the reading of 6 chapter books of one historical character.
An American Girl Historical Character book covers the full initial story of each character over a span of approximately two years of her life. These books are full of historical references and even a looking back section at the end of each book giving more insight. Each book has the main character girl and always includes a friend. This class will be a place where great friendships are made as we seek to cultivate a place to learn about one another in a Godly way and have a sense of love and unity.
Each class time we will cover the story and history portions of the assigned reading each week.
The children will each get a turn at being the host for the week and bringing a time period food item that they will make at home with a parent and bring for the class to share.
The last portion of the class will be doing a very nice high quality keepsake piece of artwork or a craft. A wonderful suggestion is to have a memory box for them to keep all their beautiful creations in for years to come.
