CORE: HISTORY
The goal of this class is to travel through the History of Texas and its many cultural and national changes. Starting with the Indigenous people of the region now known as Texas and continuing to our modern role as a state. Each week will focus on a different time period and national alignment. Over the semester, we will do hands-on activities and practical assignments. This is an academic-focused class to build a working knowledge of key events and historical figures in the history of Texas, including its role in the US Civil War and current Socio-Economic Role. This class will also have a final written research project. There will be outside reading and assignments to be completed, so please be aware that not all assignments can/will be completed within the designated class time. **Students will need notebook paper, pencils/pens, and a folder. (Any folder will do to store classwork.)
