In this engaging course, students will explore the diverse geography of the United States, discovering how landforms, climate, and human activity shape the nation’s regions and culture. Through hands-on mapwork, digital exploration, and regional studies, students will develop strong geographic and critical-thinking skills while learning to interpret and analyze maps, data, and patterns.
Topics include major physical features, climate regions, natural resources, and how people interact with their environment. Students will also examine population trends, economic activity, and cultural diversity across different regions.
Interactive projects—such as virtual road trips, state presentations, and map challenges—make learning both fun and meaningful. By the end of the course, students will understand not only where things are located in the U.S., but also why they are there and how geography continues to influence the country today.
