ELECTIVE: SOME HOMEWORK
In this class, we will explore writers using the Who Was…Series. We will spend two weeks on each title using a unit study that includes games, maps, some crafts, a biography sheet, short videos and fun activities to help history come alive. The last week students will present information about one of the writers. Detailed instructions will be provided.
Each week your student will need to read between 3-6 short chapters (about 50 pages). This reading is important, as we will be playing some trivia during the second week for each book and it’s more fun when you know the answers – and they come directly from the books.
Each week, please bring to class a pencil, colored pencils and the binder provided. Homework should not exceed 15 min a day.
There may be trinkets/candy as prizes. Please let us know if there are any food allergies.
