Welcome to C.O.A.C.H. Theater!
Welcome to C.O.A.C.H. Theater (CHT) – A Program of C.O.A.C.H. Homeschool—where creativity meets calling, and every story points to Him!
C.O.A.C.H. Theater exists to provide Christ-centered opportunities in drama and the performing arts for homeschool families. Rooted in the values of Community, Opportunities, and Academics for Christian Homeschoolers, our theater division seeks to develop students who pursue excellence on stage and off.
COACH Theater is the home for all performing arts at COACH, blending creativity, faith, and excellence. Through acting, singing, and dance, students discover their gifts, grow in confidence, and learn the value of collaboration. Every performance is an opportunity to glorify God, inspire others, and celebrate the joy of artistic expression.
Through a variety of productions, workshops, and classes, C.O.A.C.H. Theater equips students to perform, create, and inspire while honoring Christ. Whether through acting, stage management, design, or technical production, we strive to develop strong skills, thoughtful storytelling, and a God-glorifying perspective.
As part of the larger C.O.A.C.H. Homeschool community, we carry forward the vision of providing excellent educational and artistic experiences. Our goal is to be innovative, Christ-centered, and supportive—equipping young performers with the tools they need to succeed in theater, academics, and life. Ultimately, C.O.A.C.H. Theater seeks to glorify God through the arts while fostering unity, creativity, and purpose in the next generation of Christian leaders.
CHT Dallas is currently only open to COACH McKinney Members into this program at this time.

Commitment
C.O.A.C.H. Theater productions require dedication and reliability. When students audition and accept roles, they are committing to the rehearsal and performance schedule.
- Attendance at rehearsals is expected unless excused in advance for illness or family emergency.
- Directors must be notified promptly of any unavoidable conflicts.
- Repeated absences or tardiness may result in recasting or reassignment.
- Parents are expected to support rehearsals and performances by ensuring their student arrives on time, prepared, and ready to contribute.
Parent Partnership
C.O.A.C.H. Theater is a parent-supported ministry. Success depends on parents actively serving alongside students.
- Parents may be asked to assist with costuming, set construction, props, front-of-house, fundraising, and backstage support.
- At least one parent from each family is expected to serve in some capacity in each production.
- Parents are also encouraged to model Christlike encouragement, grace, and cooperation for students.
Casting & Production Roles
Casting in C.O.A.C.H. Theater is prayerfully considered and based on:
- Audition performance (skill, preparation, teachability)
- Character fit for the role
- Faithfulness to past commitments
- Willingness to serve where needed
Not every student will receive a lead role, but every participant is vital to the production. Supporting roles, ensemble, crew, and technical teams are equally essential in telling the story and glorifying God through theater.
