Dress Code

Parents and students are required to dress modestly when participating in COACH activities.

While we recognize that modesty can mean something different to each family, we feel that it is important to establish a commonly agreed-upon standard definition to be followed by all COACH participants.  Any student wearing clothing that violates the COACH dress code can be sent home from class.

Below is a list of COACH’s Modesty Guidelines:

General:

  • No clothing displaying or encouraging illegal or immoral acts or displaying profane or crude language shall be worn during COACH activities.  Any verbiage must be kind.  If you wouldn’t say it to your grandmother, don’t wear it to COACH!
  • Students must be dressed appropriately for the classes they are attending, i.e. appropriate athletic shoes for any physical fitness class, closed-toed shoes in science lab, etc.
  • Shoes or sandals must be worn at all times, unless an exception is specifically made for a particular activity (for example, gymnastics).
  • No pajamas shall be worn unless specifically allowed for a particular event.

Shorts and Pants

  • Shorts are allowed at COACH for both male and female students
  • All students must cover their underwear; pants must not sag
  • Fitted pants and tapered pants are allowed.  However, if the pants are skin-tight down the legs, see “yoga pants” below.
  • Yoga pants, if worn,  must be covered by a tunic or shirt that CYB.
  • Please use Godly discretion.

Skirts and Dresses:

  • Skirts and dress hemlines (including slits) must be modest length and fit.
  • Please use Godly discretion.

Shirts & Tops:

  • No spaghetti straps, halters, exposed midriffs, or off-the-shoulder tops for girls or boys.
  • Women’s and girls’ tops must not reveal cleavage (or other private areas) or undergarments, even when bending over.
  • Men’s and boys’ shirts must cover the chest area.
  • Straps on any top (including the strap above any sleeve cutout) must be at least two inches wide.
  • No tank tops, except as an underlayer.
  • If see-through material is worn, the shirt underneath must meet these guidelines.
  • Please use Godly discretion.
